(AUGUST 2008) Envision Radio Networks® is happy to announce the USA TODAY – Don’t Quote Me – Quote of the Day, a new daily 60 second vignette that brings the popular board game to radio in a fully integrated package that includes radio, interactive website, and print components. The radio debut is congruent with the print debut (Monday, 8/4) of USA TODAY’S first new puzzle, since launching Sudoku to the American public, with the addition of the daily game from Don’t Quote Me. The print version of Don’t Quote Me gives readers a chance to guess who said what in a daily puzzle modeled from the popular board game. Envision Radio Networks®, USA Today, and Wiggles 3D are excited to forge a partnership that will make Don’t Quote Me available in a variety of formats. They believe the combination of the game’s debut in both print and broadcast will pique the interest of people all over the country and become as popular as Sudoku.
“As radio stations continue to build out their websites and look for original content that would be of interest for their listeners, Envision Radio Networks® will provide daily content for broadcasters that can be used on-air and on the Internet,” states Danno Wolkoff, CEO/President Envision Radio Networks®. “USA TODAY’S Don’t Quote Me is the perfect fit for radio stations to cross promote on-air games with interactive games on their website that will keep listeners coming back each day to play.”
Wiggles 3D president Don Reid says he is extremely pleased to be working with both USA Today and Envision Radio Networks®. Reid says, “This initiative represents another important touch point for the Don’t Quote Me® brand with consumers.”
“We think readers will really enjoy the addition of the Don’t Quote Me puzzle to our puzzle page and we look forward to furthering our partnership with Envision Radio Networks® and Wiggles 3D,” said Christy Hartsell, director of brand licensing for USA TODAY.
Envision Radio Networks® offers USA TODAY’S Don’t Quote Me in a 60-second daily vignette that brings fun and engaging elements to radio by getting listeners involved in the interactive guessing game. Don’t Quote Me also provides daily interactive web content for radio stations’ websites including the Quote of the Day, top 10 lists, puzzles, and games.
