(JULY 2009) – Fast food giant McDonald’s recently launched a series of advertising including one particular ad that portrays the average biker in an unflattering light. Jeff Ryan, program host of Envision Radio Networks’ American Biker Minute, took immediate offense (as did many of his fellow bikers,) and launched an attack via his blog at www.americanbikerradio.com. While McDonald’s sent a quick reply to Ryan denying any wrongdoing, Ryan isn’t buying it. Ryan replied:

“Making a motorcycle-hater commercial is simply bad karma. You pretty much get what you give, especially if you deny an obvious slam against bikers. There are two Ronald outlets near the ABM compound (in Sturgis), but we passed them, & had some Hardee’s. That stupid commercial left a bad taste in my mouth, not unlike when you try to get some sugar from honey after eating a Quarter Pounder with cheese.”

(JULY 2009) – 27 years ago, Apple Computers founder Steve Wozniak had an idea for an event that would combine music, computers, television and people, celebrating evolving technologies. The idea for the US Festival was born and Wozniak produced (with the help of concert promoter Bill Graham and MTV,) two consecutive events during the summer of 1982 and 1983 that would become legendary for music fans everywhere.

Envision Radio Networks® and 4C Studios will celebrate the 1983 US Festival with a FREE two hour Labor Day Special from The Rockin’ 80’s. Hosted by longtime rock radio personality Zander, the special will feature a special look at “Heavy Metal Sunday,” the musically star-studded second day of the 1983 US Festival that featured a still-unbelievable mix of chart-topping performers, and soon-to-be legendary bands such as Motley Crue, who were just beginning their rise to future stardom.
