About Ahmad Rashad:
Ahmad Rashad is an Emmy® Award-winning sportscaster and former college All-American and All-Pro NFL football star. Rashad has worked extensively as part of the ESPN/ABC NBA team and spent 20 years with NBC Sports as a studio host, feature reporter, analyst and commentator for a variety of sports and events including the NFL, NBA and Olympic Games. Rashad was host, executive producer and managing editor of the Emmy-nominated show NBA Inside Stuff for 16 seasons. Though nominated multiple times throughout his career, it was his work on the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games that earned him an Emmy® award, in the category of writing.
The top running back and top receiver in the 1972 NFL draft, Rashad was selected fourth overall by the St. Louis Cardinals. During a brilliant 10-year career, he was recognized as one of the most electrifying players during his era while playing for the Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, and Minnesota Vikings. Rashad finished his playing career ranked 11th on the NFL’s all-time receiving list with 495 receptions, won five division championships and the 1976 NFC title, was named Pro Bowl MVP in 1979, played in Super Bowl XI and was recognized as NFL Man of the Year for his efforts with the Minnesota Vikings.
In addition to hosting Where Are They Are Now, Rashad hosts “One on One with Ahmad Rashad,” a series of NBA TV specials which feature Rashad’s candid and in-depth interviews with the NBA’s biggest stars.
