(AUGUST 2012) – Envision Radio Networks®’ Full Metal Jackie welcomes WQLZ-FM/Springfield, IL as the newest affiliate of the fastest growing metal show on radio. With 92.7 The Rock Station broadcasting Full Metal Jackie every Saturday night at 10 pm, the station joins over 200 affiliates on the Envision Rock Network.
“Even though I could hear how good this show was, I resisted because I have a metal show done here locally by one of my jocks. Jackie always said, ‘That’s great! I love that, you should run mine too!’ I finally realized she’s right,” said Susan Groves, Operations Manager at WQLZ-FM. “They are two different shows. Full Metal Jackie is chock-full of interviews and inside stuff that I could never get locally. Plus it’s just great to have another chick on the air! If one metal show is good, two is better. I love having Full Metal Jackie as part of WQLZ!”

Full Metal Jackie began her radio career as an on-air personality at WHTG (Neptune, NJ), and later at WDHA (Dover, NJ). After a short stint as on-air host at San Diego’s 94.9 KBZT, Jackie landed the opportunity she had been working toward since her early WSOU days: host and producer of her own (and L.A.’s only) commercial heavy metal radio show, CHAOS on Indie 103.1. Today, Full Metal Jackie’s show can be heard on some of the best rock radio stations throughout the United States.
